Biehl, Fred Jr. "Eddie Mahoney"

Boxer Eddie Mahoney was really Fred Biehl Jr., son of Fred Biehl Sr. & Sophia Ritter. He was born 5 October 1904 in the Volga German daughter colony of Gnadendorf and immigrated with his parents and siblings to the United States in 1910. He grew up in Fresno, California. He died on 30 July 1940 in Ely, Nevada.

He boxed in the lightweight class with a career win-loss-draw tally of 60-42-24. He debuted on 9 January 1923 and his career ran through 1931.

His brother, Billy Mahoney (William Biehl, Jr.), was a welterweight boxer.
