The Rev. Friedrich Börner, son of merchant Johann Gottfried Börner and Bertha Bartels, was born in Riga, Latvia, on 21 November 1805 and died in June 1868 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He married in Sarepta, Russia, in June 1830 to Johanna Martha Eleonore Metzger, daughter of factory owner Johannes Metzger and Maria Salome Messerschmidt. She was born on 10 November 1806 and died in Norka on 13 October 1838.
Pastor Börner studied theology at the seminary in Dorpat, Estonia, from 1826 to 1829. He was ordained 16 March 1830. He served the Norka parish from 1830 to 1840. From 1840 to 1850, he was pastor at Kamsko-Izevsk. He also served as pastor vicar in Orenburg from 1840-1842. From 1850 until his death in 1868, he was pastor in Yekaterinburg.
