Biography: 

Alfred Andreevitch Dulzon, son of Andrei Petrovitch Dulzon & Vitoria Iosifovna Glock, was born 31 July 1937 in Saratov. He was deported to Siberia in 1941 along with other Volga Germans.

Dr. Dulzon was educated at the Polytechnic University in Tomsk, graduating in 1960 and earning a doctorate there in 1966. He joined the engineering faculty of the Polytechnic University in Tomsk in 1966 and served until 1974.

He was first the deputy director and then director of the High Voltage Research Institute in Tomsk from 1974-1993. Since 1993, he has served as the vice president of the Polytechnic University in Tomsk.

His father was dialectologist and folklorist Andrei Dulzon of the Pedagogical Institute in Tomsk.

The Volga German ancestral colony of the Dulzon family is Preuss.
