Carey A. Schueler, daughter of Ron Schueler & Maureen Fallon, was born 15 April 1975. She was the first woman ever drafted by a Major League Baseball team when the Chicago White Sox picked the 18-year-old left-handed pitcher in the 43rd round (1208th pick overall) of the 1993 MLB draft.

Schueler, daughter of then White Sox general manager Ron Schueler, was never actually signed by the team. She went on to play basketball for DePaul University in Chicago, and then St. Mary's College in Moraga, California.
