Father Klemens Weißenburger was born in 1893 in the German colony of Selz in the Kherson Province.  He died in 1919 in Selz.

He studied theology at the Roman Catholic Seminary in Saratov and was ordained by Bishop Kessler in 1917.

He served the following parishes:

Köhler, as vicar (1917-1918)
Selz (Odessa), as vicar (1918-August 1919)

In August of 1919, Father Weißenburger was arrested for anti-Soviet activites related to the peasant uprising that took place in Selz. He was convicted and sentenced to death. He was executed in the local cemetery along with 107 colonists.
