Roger Lee Welsch was an American news reporter, professor, author, humorist, folklorist, and activist. He is noted as a senior correspondent with the CBS News Sunday Morning program which featured his segments called "Postcards from Nebraska." He was also a professor of German and folklore at Nebraska Wesleyan.

He was born 6 November 1936 in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of Christian Welsch & Bertha Flach. He died 30 September 2022 in Dannebrog, Nebraska.

Roger Welsch's Volga German ancestors came from the colony of Schäfer.
