History:
Brunnen was a khutor (farmstead) located 13 kilometers northeast of Brunnenfeld. It was founded by colonists resettling from Bettinger, and was also known as Baratayevsky Brunnen.
Following the 1941 deportation of the Volga Germans, the settlement was renamed to Bruno.
Today, nothing of the former Volga German settlement of Brunnen remains.
Church:
There was no known religious structure in Brunnen.
