Neu-Müller - 2 (Bergseite)

Neue-Mühle was really nothing more than a khutor (farmstead) located between Göbel and Neu-Norka on the Bergseite, along the Ilovlya River.  At times it was also called Neu-Müller, but should not be confused with the daughter colony of Neu-Müller (aka Danikovla) located on the banks of the Volga River.

Three were Volga German families living in Neue-Mühle well before its official founding in 1845.  The founder was David Dahlinger from Kraft who built a water mill along the river. Other colonists who settled there were also from Kraft.  All inhabitants were Lutheran.

Located just a couple hundred meters south of Neue-Mühle was a Russian khutor (farmstead) called Muchnoi [Мучной].

Today, nothing remains of Neue-Mühle.  The coordinates provided are an estimate of where it used to be based on maps from the 1930s.
