Streit

Streit was a khutor (farmstead) located 13 kilometers southwest of Norka, near a ravine with a pond. It appears on maps from the 1930s.

During the 1930s, the name Schönfeld was also used for this settlement.  Following the deportation of the Volga Germans in 1941, it was renamed Progress on 2 July 1942.  By 1981, only ruins remained of the former Volga German settlement.
