Jakob Hoher, a farmer, his wife Gertrude, and children (August, age 18; Katharina, age 13; Christoph, age 7; Elias, age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Boisroux in Household No. 22. They had settled there on 7 June 1767.
The 1767 census records that Jakob Hoher came from the German region of Dessau.
