History:

The village of Kranewitter was probably founded between 1910 and 1915. It was not really a village, but a collection of 6-7 houses. This configuration had been the original intent of administrator Navarro when he founded the villages in Colonia Alvear with a grouping of houses at the corners of the fields, but this plan was not carried out elsewhere.

The first settlers who lived in Kranewitter were:

Agustín Kranewitter
Alfonso Kranewitter
Domingo (Minga) Kessler
Pedro Krapp
Juan Kranewitter
José Wendler

By the beginning of the 21st century, grandchildren of the Kessler family and a Garcia family were living in Kranewitter.
