Johannes Brucher was born 26 February 1710 in Rimhorn, near Höchst im Odenwald. He, his wife Eva Maria, and their son Johann Jacob arrived in Russia on 11 August 1766. Both Johannes and Eva Maria died during the journey.
Johann Brücher, a farmer, his wife Eva Maria, and son Johann Jakob (age 11½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 August 1766 aboard the galliot named Die Perle under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen.
Johannes Brücher, his wife Maria, and son Johann Jacob are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both parents died en route.
Son Jacob Brücher arrived as an orphan in Frank on 1 September 1767. He is listed there on the 1767 census in Household No. 93 living with the Johann Nicolaus Olt family.
Jakob Brücher and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk001.
The death of Jakob Brücher in 1802 is recorded on the 1811 census of Frank in Household No. 1.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
