Christian Engelhardt (age 24) from Seckenheim, Oberamt Heidelberg, migrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 1 May 1760 with Nikolaus Voigt.
The parish register of Fridericia records on 26 May 1760 the marriage of Christian Engelhardt & Anna Barbara Albrecht. She had been born in Heiligkreutz on 1 May 1741. [See Albrecht Family.]
In December 1760, they settled in the Danish colony of Friderichshaab.
The parish register of Friderichshaab records on 7 December 1762 the baptism of Johann Erik Engelhart.
The Engelhardt family is last recorded among the Danish colonies on 26 April 1763.
Christian Engelhardt, a farmer, his wife Anna Barbara, and children (Anna Margaretha, age 6; Johann Georg, age 4½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Anton in Household No. 11. They had arrived in Anton on 7 September 1764 along with Anna Barbara's brother, Adam Albrecht and his family.
Christian Engelhardt, his wife Anna Barbara Albrecht, and family are recorded on the 1798 census of Anton in Household No. An56.
The 1767 census records that Christian Engelhardt came from "Kurpfalz, Oberamt Heidelberg."
