Abraham Jantzen, son of Cornelius Jantzen (1744-1828) & his second wife Agnetha Dyck (1777-1861), was born 6 November 1797 in Brodsack. He married in nearby Broeske on 6 December 1818 to Gertrude Jantzen, daughter of Dietrich Jantzen (1754-1808) & Gertrude Bergmann (1768-1801). She was born on 28 August 1794.

Abraham, Gertrude, and their children moved to Hahnsau and are recorded living there on the 1857 Census in Household No. 13.

Today, Brodsack is located in Poland and known as Chlebówka.
