There are 3 Kutscher families that settled in Ernestinendorf. All three of them arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of skipper Thomas Fairfax. All three of them settled in the Volga German colony of Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767.

The first two, Johannes & Johann Georg, are not only cousins on their father's side, but their mothers were also sisters, and the grandmother on that side was also a Kutscher.

(1) Johann Heinrich Kutscher, son of Christian Kutscher, and Anna Bach had the following son, born in Stangenrod: Johannes [third son], born 2 July 1737.

Johannes Kutscher, a farmer, and his wife Christina arrived in Oranienbaum.

Johannes Kutscher and his wife Christina are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann[es] Kutscher, a farmer, his wife Christina, and son Johann (age 9-months) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No.39.

Johannes Kutscher and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No. Er12.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johannes Kutscher came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census records that Johann Kutscher came from the German village of Stangenrod in the Hessen region.

(2) Johannes Kutscher, son of Christian Kutscher, and Anna Catharina Bach have at least the following 2 children born in Stangenrod: (1) Johann Georg [second son], born 20 October 1740; and (2) Anna Barbara [youngest child], born 27 December 1753.

Johann Georg Kutscher, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Anna, age 12; Johann, age 1) arrived in Oranienbaum. Anna is not actually their daughter, but rather Johann Georg's sister.

Joh. Georg Kutscher, his wife Margaretha, and children (Elisabetha, age 12; Johannes, age 1¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that son Johannes died en route.

Johann Georg Kutscher, a farmer, his wife Anna, and sister Barbara (age 14) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ernenstinendorf in Household No. 34.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Georg Kutscher came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Kutscher came from the German village of Stangenrod in the Hessen region.

An additional Kutscher family settled in the colony of Ernestinendorf.

(3) Kaspar Kutscher, a farmer, his wife Walpurgis, and children (Anna, age 12; Maria, age 8; Johann, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Joh. Caspar Kutscher, his wife Waltburga, and children (Elisabetha, age 12; Henrietta, age 8 Johann Wigand, age 6) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Kaspar Kutscher, a farmer, his wife Walpurgia, and children (Elisabeth, age 12; Maria, age 10; Johann, age 8) are recorded on the 1767 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No. 36.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Kaspar Kutscher came from the German region of Hessen. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Atzenhain which is located about 2 kilometers northeast of Stangenrod.
