Discussion & Documentation

Bernhard Friedrich Repphun, son of Georg Friedrich & Anna Katharina Repphun, was born and baptized on 22 February 1735 in the Evangelical Church in Simmozheim, about 45 kilometers southwest of Stuttgart. He married in nearby Pfaffenhofen on 12 August 1760 to Catharina Margaretha Herzer, daughter of Christoph Herzer.

Bernhard Friedrich and his wife immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 29 June 1761 under the leadership of Johann Thomas Gabler. They arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 4 July 1761.

The baptism of Jürgen Friedrich Rebhan [sic], son of Bernhard Fried. Rebhan [sic], is recorded in the parish register of Christkirche in Rendsburg on 19 March 1762.

This family is recorded there until 1 May 1765 when they immigrated to Russia.

Bernhard Friedrich Rebuhn, his wife, and son Georg Friedrich arrived in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 40.

The Rebuhn family descendants are registered on the Reinwald 1798 census in Household No. Rw37.
