Johann Konrad Reimer, son of Hans Georg & Sybilla Elisabetha Reimer, was baptized on 6 May 1729 in the Freudental Evangelical Church, about 35 kilometers north of Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg. He married Johanna Sophia (surname unknown) who had been born in 1731.
They had two children, each born in Freudental: (1) Johanna Rosina Katharina, born 22 January 1755; and (2) Johann Konrad, born and baptized on 15 October 1758.
Johann Conrad Reimer (age 31), his wife Johanna Sophia (age 30), and children (Johanna, age 6; Johann Conrad, age 3) and their servant Johann Staudacker immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 29 Jun 1761 under the leadership of Johann Thomas Gabler. They arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 4 July 1761.
The baptism of Philipp Friedrich Reimer, son of Johann Conrad Reimer & Sophia Kühl, is recorded in the parish register of Jörl [Denmark] on 14 February 1763. His death is later recorded there on 11 April 1763.
The death of father Johann Konrad Reimer is recorded in Eggebek-Jörl [Denmark] on 29 September 1762, before his son was born.
The widow of Johann Konrad Reimer remarried on 22 July 1763 to the colonist Georg Brunner. [See Brunner Family.] They are last recorded among the Danish colonies on 24 April 1765. They (including the two Reimer children) immigrated to Russia.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. Johann Konrad Reimer Jr. and his sister Johanna are recorded on the 1767 census of Reinwald in Household No. 17.
