Johann Burkhardt Bock, son of Johann Berghard Bock & his first wife Anna Margaretha Waller, was born 13 September 1745 (baptized 15 September 1745). His half-sister Anna Christina Bock, daughter of Johann Berghard Bock & his second wife Anna Margaretha Braun, was born 26 January 1753 (baptized 28 January 1753). They were both baptized at the Lutheran Church in Altenhaßlau.
Burckhard Bock & Magdal. Stock were married on 5 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Büdingen. Christine Bock & Friedrich Krebs were also married in the Lutheran Church in Büdingen on 7 March 1766.
Johann Bock, a farmer, his wife Magdalena arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Frank and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18.
The widow and daughter of Burghardt Bock are recorded on the 1798 census of Frank in Household No. Fk041.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Bock family among the Volga German colonies.
