Conrad Keib, son of Johann Georg Keib & Anna Dorothea Kraft, was baptized 31 May 1739 in Soden.
Conrad Keip from Romsthal married in the chapel of Soden on 11 May 1762 to Anna Catharina Räsch, daughter of Johannes Räsch & Anna Margaretha Betz [see Resch family].
The births of two of their children are recorded: (1) Maria Martha, born 7 April 1763 in Marborn; and (2) Anna Margaretha, born 28 October 1764 in Marborn.
They arrived at the port of Oranienbaum from Lübeck on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love and Unity with skipper Thomas Fairfax at the helm.
Konrad Keib, a blacksmith (Schmied), his wife Katharina Resch, and daughters (Maria Martha, age 5; Anna Margaretha, age 3) are recorded on the 1767 census of Hildmann in Household No. 18. They had settled there on 20 June 1767.
The 1767 census records that Konrad Keib came from the German region of Salmünster.
