Neu-Dorf (2)

The khutor (farmstead) of Neu-Dorf was founded in the early 20th Century by Volga Germans.  Following the Revolution, it became part of the Schönchen District of the Volga German Labor Commune and continued with that affiliation when the ASSR of the Volga Germans was established in 1924.  In 1935, this area became part of the Unterwalden Canton.  It's inhabitants were deported in 1941.

Since 1959, what remains of the former khutor of Neu-Dorf became part of the Balakovo District and since 2015 has been under the municipal administration of nearby Novo-Polevodin.
