Christian Philipp [sic], a farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.
Christian Philippi is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Christian Philipp [sic], a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46.
Christian Philipp [sic] and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No. Er14.
The death of Christian Philippi in 1816 is recorded on the 1834 census of Ernestinendorf in Household No. 13.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Christian Philipp came from the German region of Hanau.
[Some early document record this surname as Philipp, but the 1834, 1850, and 1857 census consistently record it as Philippi.]
