Niedererbach, Kr. Westerwald, Rheinland-Pfalz

With the dissolution of the Grafschaft Diez in 1564, Niedererbach became part of Kurtrier.  By 1803, Niedererbach, as well as the entire right bank of the rest of the Electorate of Trier, belonged to the Duchy of Nassau.  In 1866, this area became part of the Kingdom of Prussia, and in 1868 the new province of Hesse-Nassau.  Today, Niedererbach is in the Unterwesterwald community.
