Peter Becker, a farmer, his wife Maria, and son Wilhelm (age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.
Peter Bäcker, a farmer, his wife Maria Eva, and children (Johann Wilhelm, age 6; Bartolameus, age ½) settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 1 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 92.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Peter Becker came from the German region of Trier. The 1767 census records that Peter Bäcker came from the German village of Ransbach in Kurtrier.
