Jean Christoffle (Johann Christoph) Wolff, son of Jean Henri Wolff & Anna Margaretha Kuhn, was born 19 December 1727 and baptized in Neu-Isenburg on 26 December 1727.
Christoph Woff married on 28 April 1752 in Neu-Isenburg to Conradine Johanna Arnoul, daughter of Friderich Arnoul & Jeane Marie Dietz. She had been born 11 October 1731 and baptized 18 October 1731 in Neu-Isenburg.
Christoph and Conradine had five children, each baptized in Neu-Isenburg: (1) Jean Conrad, baptized 7 September 1755; (2) Jean Pierre, baptized 29 February 1759, died 29 December 1760; (3) Jean Abraham, baptized 25 October 1761, died 23 July 1762; (4) Marie Elisabeth Madeleine, baptized 25 October 1761, died 1 January 1762; and (5) Jean Pierre, baptized 31 July 1763.
Christoph Wolf, a farmer, his wife Anna, and sons (Johann, age 11; Peter, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat under the command of Midshipman Mankensey.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Moor on 18 June 1767. Christoph Wolf, a farmer, his wife Johanna Katharina, and sons (Johann Konrad, age 13; Johann Peter, age 5) are recorded on the 1767 census of Moor in Household No. 29.
Christoph Wolf and his family are recorded on the 1775 census of Moor in Household No. 32.
Peter Wolf and his family (sons: Johann Philipp, age 7; Johann Peter, age 4) are recorded on the 1798 census of Moor in Household No. Mo69 along with a note that he is at his own mill in the colony of Franzosen.
Johann Peter Moor is recorded on the 1811 census of Moor in Household No. 70 along with a note that he had relocated to another colony. Johann Peter Wolf from Moor and his family are recorded on the 1811 census of Schwed in Household No. 31.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christoph Wolf came from the German district of Regensburg while the 1767 census records that he came from the German district of Isenburg.
