Johann Christoph Weinberger, son of Johannes Weinberger from Bösgesäß, married on 4 January 1743 to Anna Magdalena Hoffman, daughter of Johann Christoph Hoffman from Mauswinkel.
The births of three of their children are recorded in the parish register of Bösgesäß: (1) Catharina, born 7 November 1743; (2) Anna Margaretha, born 20 November 1745; and (3) Johann Heinrich, born 22 May 1754.
Daughter Catharina Weinberger married Johann Peter Kaÿser in Büdingen on 28 April 1766.
Widow Magdalena Weinberger and children (Margaretha, age 22; Johann, age 14) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a barque named Fortitudo (Fortitude) under the command of Skipper John Scott.
Widow Magdalena Weinberg [sic] and her children (Anna Margreta, age 22; Johann Heinrich, age 14) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Magdalena remarried to Johannes Müller and they settled in the Volga German colony of Norka. The combined Müller and Weinberger families are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 171.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that the Weinberger family came from the German district of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
