Two Kirchenhein families arrived together from Lübeck on 14 August 1766 aboard a 2-masted merchant ship named Die Jungfer Frederika (The Maiden Frederika) under the command of Skipper Hans Christian Korsholm. Their relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.
(1) Christoph Hirchenhein, a single cobbler (Schuster), arrived in Oranienbaum.
It is not known what happened to him after arrival in Russia.
(2) Friedrich Kirchenhein, a cobbler, his wife Agnes, and children (Johann, age 17¾; Maria Katharina, age 8; Louisa, age 4) arrived in Oranienbaum.
Fridrich Kirchenheim [sic], his wife Agneta, and children (Johannes, age 17¾; Maria Catrina, age 8; Erwisa Elisabeth, age 4) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that the mother Agneta died en route.
Daughter Maria Katharina Kirchenhein (age 9) is recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No 201 along with the Johannes Hohnstein family. They had settled in Norka on 2 September 1767. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Kirchenhein and Hohnstein families.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that both Hirchenhein families came from the German region of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Hirchenhein family among the Volga German colonies.
