Kaspar Elspach [sic], a farmer, his wife Eva [Anna?], and son Johann (age 1¼) arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 27 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Слон (Slon - Elephant in Russian) under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Hans Peter [Elsenbach] (age 2½) is recorded on the 1767 census of Leichtling in Household No. 20 along with his stepfather Johannes Messler. They had arrived in Leichtling on 14 June 1767.
