Karolus Adelmeier, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard a ship named Die Perle under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leichtling on 14 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 35.
The Facius List records that Karl Adalmayer (age 40) came from the German village of Wiesen. Both the Oranienbaum passenger list record and the 1767 census record that Karl Adelmeier came from the German region of Hildesheim.
