The parish register of St. Vitus Catholic Church in Oberhöchstadt records the baptisms of the following children born to Johannes Nikolaus & Maria Margaretha Seibold: (1) Katharina, baptized 4 January 1753; (2) Johannes, baptized 10 January 1755; (3) Maria Katharina, baptized 2 November 1756, died 14 November 1756; (4) Johannes, baptized 23 March 1758; (5) Bruno, baptized 25 July 1760; (6) Susanna, baptized 7 April 1763; and (7) Katharina, baptized 3 July 1765, died 13 July 1765.
Nikolaus Seibolin, a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Karolina, age 18; Katharina, age 16¼; Johann, age 8; Bruno, age 6; Susanna, age 4) arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 27 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Слон (Slon - Elephant in Russian) under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Leitsinger on 12 May 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 8.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Nikolaus Seibold came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Nikolaus Seibolin came from the German village of Oberhöchstadt in the Kurmainz region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Seibolin family among the Volga German colonies.
