Discussion & Documentation

Sebastian Paul, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.

The 1767 census records that Sebastian Paul came from the German village of Weilmünster in the district of Weilburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
