Sebastian Paul, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard a ship named Die Perle under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Sebastian Paul came from the German region of Weilburg. The 1767 census records that Sebastian Paul came from the German village of Weilmünster in the district of Weilburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
