There are 3 Thiel families that arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard a ship named Die Perle under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen. They all settled in the Volga German colony of Kolb on 13 May 1767. There relationship to each other, if any, needs further research.
(1) Johann Thiel, a farmer, and his wife Susanna arrived in Oranienbaum.
Johannes Thiel, a farmer, and his wife [Sus]Anna Margaretha are recorded in Kolb on the 1767 census in Household No. 16.
Johannes and his family are recorded on the 1798 census in Household No. Ko03.
(2) Johann Thiel, a single farmer, arrived in Oranienbaum.
Johannes Thiel, a farmer, and his wife Katharina are recorded in Kolb on the 1767 census in Household No. 17.
(3) Konrad Thiel, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived in Oranienbaum.
Konrad Thiel, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha are recorded in Kolb on the 1767 census in Household No. 18.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that all of these Thiel families came from the German region of Isenburg. The 1767 census of Kolb records that all three of these families came from the German village of Langensalzberg in the region of Isenburg.
