Franz Konrad, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pinkom.

He settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 3 August 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 76 along with his new bride Christina.

In 1788, Franz Konrad and his family moved from Mariental to Ober-Monjou.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Franz Konrad was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a blacksmith (Schmied).

The 1767 census records that Franz Konrad came from the German village of Kanth in the region of Schlesien.
