Johann Martin Lobinger [sic] & Elisabeth Straß were married on 20 May 1766 in Roßlau while in route to Russia.

Martin Pobinger, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Margaretha Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the Skipper Paul Adam Drath.

Martin Bobinger [sic] and his wife Margreth. Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 19 August 1767. Margaretha Elisabeth died 8 October 1767.

Martin Pobinger is recorded in Brabander on the 1767 census in Household No. 110.

Martin Bodinger [sic], his wife Dorothea, and son Thomas (age 22) are recorded on the 1798 census of Brabander in Household No. Bn33.

The death of Thomas Bodinger [sic] in 1807 is recorded on the 1811 census of Brabander in Household No. 33.

The death of Martin Bebinger [sic] in 1817 is recorded on the 1834 census of Brabander in Household No. 35.

The 1767 census records that Martin Pobinger came from the German village of Bobingen near Augsburg in the Schwaben (Swabia) region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
