Kunigunda Reuth née Kreig died 4 May 1759 at the age of 48 years.
Widower Jakob Kreig re-married on 24 September 1759 to Barbara Schrödel, daughter of Johannes & Margaretha Schrödel.
The baptisms of the following children born to Jakob Kreich & Barbara Schrödel are recorded in the parish register of St. Johannes der Täufer (St. John the Baptist) Catholic Church in Reuth: (1) Barbara, baptized 2 December 1762, died 10 December 1762; (2) Anna, baptized 24 January 1764, died 11 April 1764; and (3) Kunigunda, baptized 22 May 1765.
Jakob Kreich, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and daughter (Kunigunda, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 June 1766 aboard the ship named Die Neue Fortuna (The New Fortune) under the command of Skipper Ahrens Steingraber.
Jacob Greich is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Seelmann on 15 July 1767. His wife died on 3 September 1767, and Jakob Kreich (age 39) is recorded on the 1767 census of Seelmann in Household No. 76.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Jakob Kreich came from the German village of Reuth in the Bamberg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Kreich family among the Volga German colonies.
