Balthasar Feck, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and daughter Franziska (age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Balthasar Jeck [sic] and his wife Margaretha are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Balthasar Feck (age 39), a battle surgeon (Feldscher), and his wife Margaretha (age 38) are recorded on the 1767 census of Brabander in Household No. 135. They had arrived in Brabander on 5 September 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Balthasar Feck came from the German region of Schwaben (Swabia). The 1767 census records that Balthasar Feck came from the German village of Biberach in the Schwaben (Swabia) region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Fech family among the Volga German colonies.
