Johann Nicolaus Weigand from Niederweiler in the area of Baden & Clara Christina Mohr from Niederwiesen in the Pfaltz were married on 12 May 1766 in the City Lutheran Church of Friedberg.
Johann Weigand, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), and his wife Klara Christina arrived in the Volga German colony of Kukkus on 26 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43.
The 1767 census records that Johann Weigand came from the German village of Niederweiler from the district of Baden-Durlach.
