Adam Christian Heimel, a craftsman (Handwerker), setttled in the Volga German colony of Schulz on 8 September 1766. He and his wife Anna Margaretha are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.

The 1767 census records that Adam Christian Heimel came from the German village of Weimar in the region of Sachsen (Saxony). His wife Anna Margaretha is recorded as coming from the Dutch city of Amsterdam.
