Discussion & Documentation

Friedrich Palm was born in approximately 1776, probably in Germany. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Norka.

He is recorded on the 1834 Norka Census in Household No. 404 with his death noted there in 1829.

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this family among the Volga German colonies.
