The parish register of St. Martinus Catholic Church in Hattersheim records the baptisms of the following children born to Johannes Konrad Hesser & Anna Maria Wollstatt: (1) Maria Katharina, baptized 5 December 1738; (2) Susanna, baptized 22 July 1740; (3) Anna Maria, baptized 10 October 1742; (4) Ludwig, baptized 11 July 1744; (5) Paul, baptized 1 October 1746; (6) Anna Katharina, baptized 24 March 1749, died 16 April 1749; (7) Apollonia, baptized 26 June 1750; and (8) Johannes Konrad, baptized 17 June 1753.
Johannes Konrad Hesser (junior) died 15 November 1765 in Hattersheim at the age of 58.
Ludwig Hesser, a single farmer, and his siblings (Anna, age 21; Paul, age 19; Apollonia, age 18) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 June 1766 aboard the 2-masted merchant ship named Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Adolph Scharpenberg.
Ludwig Hesser settled in the Volga German colony of Keller on 12 May 1767 and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 11.
His sisters (Anna Maria, age 22; Apollonia, age 18) are recorded on the 1767 census of Keller in Household No. 10 where Anna Maria is recorded as the wife of Johann Adam Walter.
Following the destruction of Keller, surviving members of the family resettled to the colony of Neu-Kolonie.
In 1794, Johann Adam Hesser moved from Neu-Kolonie to Mariental.
Adam Hesser from Keller is recorded on the 1798 census of Mariental in Household No. Mt45.
The death of Adam Hesser in 1828 is recorded on the 1834 census of Mariental in Household No. 13.
The widow and daughter of Johann Hesser are recorded on the 1798 census of Dehler in Household No. Dl27.
The 1767 census records that Ludwig Hesser came from the German village of Hattersheim in the Kurmainz region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
