Johann Linker, a farmer, his wife Maria, and son Andreas (age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Vergoldete Weintraube (The Guilded Grape) under the command of Skipper Joachim Hermann Andersen along with the widow Julianna Linker and her daughter Maria (age 2¼).
They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 65.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Georg Linker came from the German village of Broenschelamk [?].
