Wilhelm Baumeister, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Elisabeth (age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Diana under the command of Skipper Markus Draguhn.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 82.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Wilhelm Baumeister came from the German region of Köln. The 1767 census records that Wilhelm Baumeister came from the German village of Palwes in the region of Köln.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Baumeister family among the Volga German colonies.
