Johann Philipp Werner, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Anna Katharina, age 16; Anna Maria, age 6¼; Johann Philipp, age 3) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 31 May 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Vergoldete Weintraube (The Gilded Grape) under the command of Skipper Joachim Hermann Andersen.
Johann Werner (age 46), a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha (age 26), and daughter Philippina (age 2) arrived in the Volga German colony of Chasselois on 15 February 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 40.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Philipp Werner came from the German region of Trier. The 1767 census records that Johann Werner came from the German village of Saarburg in the Trier region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Werner family among the Volga German colonies.
