There are two Arnold families that settled in the Volga German colony of Beauregard on 27 August 1766. Their relationship to each other is not recorded, but they are believed to be father and son. Both came from the German village of Klarenthal.
(1) Eckhard Arnold (age 48), a farmer, his wife Maria, and children (Anton, age 14; Anna, age 10) are recorded on the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 28.
(2) Philipp Heinrich Arnold (age 21), a farmer, and his wife Anna are recorded on the 1767 census of Beauregard in Household No. 31.
