Widower Adam König, a locksmith, settled in the Volga German colony of Kratzke on 7 August 1766. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 19.

The 1767 census records that Adam König came from the German village of Torgau in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).

There are no known surviving male lines of this König family among the Volga German colonies.
