Jakob Meier, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Margaretha Barbara, age 12; Margaretha, age 10; Georg Jakob, age 5; Georg, age 2½) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in Altona on 17 May 1762. Jakob died there, and his widow and children continued on arriving in Flensburg on 9 June 1762.
Widow Anna [sic] Elisabeth Meier remarried to on 1 March 1763 in Großsolt Parish [Schleswig-Flensburg] to Salomon Jung, son of Johannes Jung Senior. They eventually settled in the Danish colony of Neubörm.
The Jung / Meier family is last recorded in the Danish colonies on 12 January 1765. They joined the migration to Russia.
Samson [sic] Jung, a farmer, his wife Maria Elisabeth, son Johannes (age 4), and stepchildren (Margaretha [Meier], age 14; Georg Jakob [Meier], age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Holstein in Household No. 25. They had arrived in Holstein on 2 May 1766.
The 1798 census of Shcherbakovka records Regina Meier, widow of Jakob Meier of Holstein, in Household No. Sv19 and Johann Jakob Meier from Holstein in Household No. Sv28.
Christoph Meier, son of Jakob & Regina Meier, is recorded on the 1850 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 172.
Konrad Meier, son of Christoph Meier, and his family are recorded on the 1850 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 174.
Johann Konrad Meier from Shcherbakovka and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Gnadentau.
The Eichhorns record that Jakob Meier came from Württemberg.
