Ulrich Kast, a farmer, his wife, and one child immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) in 1762.
They joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 24 June 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 27.
The Eichhorn research records that Ulrich Kast came from Württemberg. The 1767 census records that he came from the village of Neubau.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
