Christian Wolfgang Kraus, his wife, and one child immigrated to Schleswig-Holstein in 1762.
They joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 24 June 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 28.
The Danish research by the Eichhorns records that Christian Wolfgang Kraus was a tailor (Schneider) from Neckargartach. The 1767 census records that Christian Wolfgang Kraus was a farmer from the village of Hohn am Berg.
