Johann Philipp Pfeiler, a baker (Bäcker), and his family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein).
In February 1764, Peiler together with some other families expressed an interest in relocating to Russia. They were arrested, but charges were not filed.
Pfeiler and his family joined the migration to Russia and settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 26 May 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 12.
The research of the Eichhorns records that Johann Philipp Pfeiler came from "Menzingen, Herrschaft von Freiherr von Menzinger, Ritterlicher Kanton Kraichgau, Schwäbischer Ritterkreis." The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Pfeiler came from the village of Meinzing [?].
