Johann Michael Borgert [sic], his wife Anna, and children (Johann [Michael], age 14; [Johann] Georg, age 10¼; Anna, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronstadt under the command of Lieutenant Samuel Gibbs.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 7 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Michael Borger was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a carpenter (Zimmermann).
The 1767 census records that Michael Borger came from the German village of Raibach near Darmstadt.
