Johann Dangelin, a farmer, and his wife Christina settled in the Volga German colony of Holstein on 26 May 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 10.

The 1767 census records that Johann Dangelin came from the German region of Kobern [?].

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
